Ready to be part of our team? We are looking for a Safety Coordinator / Quality Technician for our Columbus, OH plant Summary:

Position encompasses both safety and quality responsibilities. Responsible for assisting and supporting the Operations Department in all facets of safety including compliance, policy interpretation, reporting of information, and workers compensation administration actions, and other responsibilities as needed. Work with manufacturing plant management in addressing employee concerns, including facilitating training, and accident and injury investigation matters. As a member of the quality team, associate will need to have the ability to travel to job sites and assist in evaluating customer complaints. Associate will also be trained in the quality technician role and assist manufacturing in ensuring product meets internal specifications and customer requirements. Responsibilities: Essential Duties: Participate in conducting monthly training. Supporting the JSHC (Joint Safety and Health Committee) in their monthly requirements to generate and conduct monthly safety committee meeting agenda, coordinate and publish the monthly meeting minutes to the Plant Manager. Assist in handling all regulatory requirements for the processing and reporting of accidents and injuries outlined by your assigned local, state and federal agencies (WSIB, WorkSafe BC, Ministry of Labour, OSHA, Cal-OSHA). Assist in monitoring and documenting all Lost time, Injury and Accidents monthly with a submitted report to the plant manager as required monthly. Assist in maintaining all confidential records and assist in generating the annual required OSH reports for your assigned facility. Assist in providing material to department supervisors for their weekly toolbox training sessions. Maintain and keep current training records. Check and maintain all in-house First-Aid inventories monthly for safety supplies. Conduct and publish a daily safety audit report to the plant manager. Use the Action Tracker worksheet to document and track all safety issues published in the safety audit. Must wear and use PPE, as well as encourage others in helping to prevent hazards. Travel to site to evaluate customer complaints and assist in resolutions. Inspect incoming materials, work in progress and finished materials with a clear understanding of requirements and specifications. Perform any other responsibilities and assignments as needed.

Qualifications: Education/Experience: A High school diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years manufacturing experience with safety and/or quality control experience. Computer Skills: Must be highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook). Other Skills and Requirements: 5 to 10% travel to job sites to inspect customer problems and product issues. Usually day trips but occasional overnight stays are required. High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation. Good spelling, grammar and written communication skills. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Ability to multi-task and make use of time management. Must be able to communicate and work well with upper level management. Excellent telephone and oral communication skills. ISO Auditor and Root Cause Analysis training are a plus. Straight boom and or scissor lift training is preferred but not a necessity. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
