Summary:

The Shipping/Receiving Clerk assists in handling all incoming deliveries and filling hotel shipment requisitions. Ensures all packages are shipping and distributed to the appropriate party.


Responsibilities


The Shipping/Receiving Clerk will provide the highest quality of service to the guest at all times and anticipate and exceed guest expectations. Must know and live the mission of White Lodging and the appropriate property brand standards.
* Receive all incoming deliveries to hotel.
* Maintain accurate logs/records on all shipping and receiving transactions.
* Ship outgoing mail and packages through various carriers.
* Secure the receiving room and its contents to ensure safekeeping of same.
* Direct all deliveries not under jurisdiction of the receiving rooms to the appropriate areas.
* Deliver, pick up, and/or sort mail expeditiously.
* Record all packages and parcels received and shipped.
* Keep office clean and organized at all times.
* Attend work on time as scheduled and adhere to attendance policy.
* Ensure confidentiality and ensure security of guest and hotel information at all times.

SKILLS

* Must pass certification assessment.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

* HS Diploma or GED required.
* 1 Year of work experienced preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS

* Will be required to lift, carry, or otherwise move up to 100 lbs. regularly with assistance, including boxes and sacks.
* Follow proper moving and lifting procedures identified in departmental training and orientation.
* Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, use hand to feel or handle, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, talk, and hear. Attached to job 95.
