Overview

Supports the Legal/Regulatory Department across several AmTrust offices. Assists with regulatory and compliance, product development, and implementation of insurance products. Maintains a solid understanding of AmTrust's mission, vision, and values.

Responsibilities
    Develop and maintain insurance product filings which include but not limited to General Liability, Portable Electronics Insurance, Travel Insurance, Renters Insurance, GAP Insurance, and Contractual Liability Insurance.
  • Provide information, advice, and research on difficult compliance questions or problems related to product development.
  • Prepare and submit filings (without daily supervision) via SERFF for new and amended filings and respond to objections.
  • Prepare and issue insurance policies for our clients through automated system.
  • Provide in-depth subject matter expertise to Insurance and regulatory compliance.
  • Perform compliance reviews of client forms and draft compliant language for insurance products.
  • Perform auditing of policies issued by our clients.
  • Communicate regulatory issues to internal stakeholders and work collaboratively to develop solutions for new business opportunities.
  • Monitor and disseminate regulatory developments impacting Insurance programs.
  • Keep current with market trends and demands within the insurance and warranty industries.
  • Review and research any consumer complaints.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5+ years of corporate insurance regulatory and compliance experience. (Required)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, SERFF, Salesforce, and SharePoint. (Required)
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented. (Preferred)
  • Ability to interact with people at all levels of the corporate structure. (Preferred)
  • Quick learner with a strong desire to take on additional responsibilities. (Preferred)
  • Self-motivated team player with the ability to work independently and prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment. (Required)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. (Required)
  • Ability to handle confidential information sensitively and discreetly. (Required)
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance issues and state insurance law in the US and Canada (preferred).
  • Knowledge of extended warranty business and insurance product filings (preferred).
