NOW OPEN: Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) Opportunity for the Current School Year

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher for Visually Impaired Students to join our team. As a teacher in this role, you will be responsible for creating an inclusive and accessible learning environment for students with visual impairments. You will develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique needs and abilities.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and deliver lessons using a variety of instructional techniques to acmodate different learning styles and levels of visual impairment.
2. Adapt classroom materials and technology to make them accessible for visually impaired students.
3. Collaborate with other educators, parents, and specialists to support students' academic, social, and emotional growth.
4. Conduct assessments and progress monitoring to track students' development and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
5. Provide instruction in braille, tactile graphics, orientation and mobility skills, and other specialized techniques as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Special Education with a focus on visual impairments or related field.
• Valid teaching license or certification for teaching visually impaired students (TVI).
• Experience working with students with visual impairments, including knowledge of braille and assistive technologies.
