Description: We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher (SPED) to join our team for the 2023-2024 school year in Allentown, PA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special education, a mitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment, and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of students with diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to address the unique needs of each student
• Adapt instructional materials and strategies to meet the diverse learning styles and abilities of students
• Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed to ensure academic and social-emotional growth
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of student performance and progress towards IEP goals
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in special education

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification in Special Education (SPED)
• Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including but not limited to, autism, intellectual disabilities, and emotional/behavioral disorders
• Strong munication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
