Robert Half has a great opportunity available for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk with an organization that offers an appealing company culture among highly skilled professionals. While working closely and reporting to the Accounting Manager, the candidate in this role will be expected to manage the general administrative needs of the AP/Finance Department. The primary focus of this role is matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. Located in Lansing, Michigan, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a short-term contract / temporary opening.
Your responsibilities
- Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks
- Help with internal and external audits as required
- Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis
- Operate full-cycle A/P
- Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed
- Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them
- Carry out additional projects as required
- Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling
- Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners- Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
- Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
- Adeptness in Microsoft Excel
- Command of Accounts Payable (AP)
- Oracle experience
- Strong familiarity with Code Invoices
- Accounts Payable (AP) experience
- Oracle experience
- Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
