We are seeking experienced Production Mixing Technician to join our recently expanded food production facility. Production Mixing Technicians are responsible for performing manufacturing duties, machine operation and production work to manufacture food products and other specialty products according to established production, quality control & safety procedures and specifications.

This is a full-time, benefits eligible position; Monday-Friday, 1:00pm - 9:30pm



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Mixing:
  • Initial & On-going training in the following processing rooms:
  • 6-pass, 1-pass, Dry Room, Corn Room
  • Correctly and Accurately assemble all ingredients & record on correct production paperwork
  • Accurately follow step-by-step instructions on the blending sheets
  • Maintain food safety culture in regards to food defense, quality and cGMPs for production and warehousing of products.
  • Consistently & Accurately assemble all paperwork, boxes and sight standards

Back End Processes:
  • Ability to appropriately utilize scale
  • Provide power to scale
  • Calibrate scale using proper weights and techniques
  • “Tare” scale to ensure accurate measurements
  • Ability to stack boxes in orderly fashion for palletizing
  • Read & Understand Product Codes and Lot Numbers
  • Find proper screens for Swecos & Comils
  • Operate all equipment belts, Swecos, Comils & Metal Detectors
  • Perform CCP check, per SOP
  • Document, and remedy, non-compliance issues on paperwork
  • Correctly and Accurately perform quality checks to ensure product matches sight standard
  • Trained and Certified in Stand-up Forklift Operation

Safety & Sanitation:
  • Understand and Master all Sanitization processes
  • Clean, Break Down & Reassemble equipment
  • Consistently follow all Sanitization processes to ensure food safety
  • Understand and Consistently practice food safety, sanitization and work safety policies & procedures
  • Maintain GMP “general housekeeping” practices to ensure a workspace that is clean and safe

Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma, general education degree, or equivalent knowledge
  • 2 - 4 years of relevant manufacturing/production work experience
  • Experience in a food environment, a plus
  • Certified in Forklift operation (Stand-up & Sit-down
  • Boiler's license, desired but not required

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Ability to accurately add, multiply and divide in units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Ability to compute units of time and weight measurement and volume.
  • Must be able to read and interpret basic written instructions and perform tasks and projects derived from written instructions.
  • Understand, read, speak and write in English.

Physical Demands:

Employee is frequently required to reach with arms and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. and frequently bend/stoop, squat, push/pull, twist trunk, lift and carry or move more than 50 lbs. Employee must repetitively grasp objects simply and firmly and use fine manipulation dexterity. Must use hands occasionally at knee, mid-thigh and shoulder level and frequently from waist to chest level. Must use both feet together, separately and repetitively to operate equipment. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception. Must be able to hear and follow instruction.


Compensation details: 19-24 Hourly Wage
