POSITION Maintenance Technician

DESCRIPTION

Summary of Responsibilities:

Our Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that the facility is in excellent condition, including the interior and exterior, physically, and mechanically. Perform routine maintenance on facility equipment and apartments. All responsibilities will be carried out with Hearthstones mission, vision and values.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance inspections on resident’s apartments.
• Perform preventative maintenance on resident’s apartments.
• Patch, texture, and paint all walls in facility, as needed.
• Plumbing: clean sink drains, plunge toilets, install cartridges and new faucets.
• Electrical: change ballasts, outlets, and switches, troubleshoot PTAC units.
• HVAC: clean condensers and change filters.
• Complete work orders in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintains equipment in working order.

• Working knowledge and ability to trouble shoot low and high voltage systems.
• Perform repairs and modifications as needed.
• Responsible for the cleanliness of exterior walkways and parking lots.
• Vacuum, bonnet, extract, and spot clean carpets as needed.
• Vacuum, dust, and spot clean sofas and chairs as needed.

• Clean washers, dryers, and lint traps.
• Check for marks on the wall and spot clean as necessary.
• Demonstrate safe and proper techniques for chemical and cleaning solutions use.
• Inspect, examine, respond, and report any maintenance and safety issues.
• Other duties as assigned

POSITION REQUIREMENT

Qualifications:

• Work as a team member
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Work flexible hours
• Previous experience performing similar duties

Physical Demands:

• Lift/push up to 50 pounds.
• You must be able to lift, carry, stand, bend, squat, crawl, reach, kneel, push, pull, and twist using good body mechanics for sustained periods.
• Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully meet.
