JOB TITLE: Welder

LOCATION: Santa Barbara

Full Time Non-Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Welder performs repairs and maintenance on vehicle floors, vehicle bodies, containers, and roll-off boxes and safely fabricates components according to company standards.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform necessary welding repairs on company equipment and trucks.
  • Welds steel and aluminum components using Mig and arc welding equipment
  • Fabricates steel components for company equipment and trucks.
  • Ensure proper completion of work orders associated with repairs utilizing fleet maintenance software program to document time and parts usage.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards.
  • Assist in special welding projects.
  • Performs other duties that may be assigned.

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in complex welding: MIG Arc welding and fabrication.
  • Experience with Arc, Mig, and Tig welding.
  • Knowledge of hand and power tools to perform essential functions of the job.
  • Ability to effectively communicate.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve.

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma or the equivalent is preferred but not required.
