If you enjoy a fast-paced, high energy and seasonal manufacturing environment, then you will fit in well with our Business Development Team (BDT) as a Senior Supply Chain Analyst at Scotts Miracle-Gro. On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for the strategic implementation of best practice demand fulfillment strategies while directly supporting business-critical initiatives. This position is located in an office environment, but a remote/hybrid arrangement will be considered.

This will be a remote role supporting Home Depot - there will be some travel to our headquarters in Marysville, OH and Home Depot headquarters in Atlanta,

GA.

In this role you will focus on:
  • Retail inventory analysis: Conduct regional and market level time-supply analysis to identify opportunities for proactive inventory replenishment and promotional event readiness.
  • Collaborate with the BDT Sales team, BDT Finance, and Demand Planning to execute inventory and production strategies that drive key metrics including point of sale, GMROI, margin dollars, margin % and inventory turns.
  • Partner with the Inventory, Planning and Replenishment team at our largest retail customer to align on purchase order flow strategies and retail inventory targets.
  • Provide detailed insight and root cause analysis into key customer metrics such as in-stock, on-time shipment, and fill rate requirements.
  • Analyze historical point-of-sale data to identify sku level variances to the current forecast and make recommendations to correct.
  • New item tracking/planning: Track new item set up, retailer stocking matrix, and SAP CMIR set up, ensuring all data is accurate and submitted in a timely fashion for new and existing products.
  • Develop internal and external collaborative relationships to gain a deep understanding of key business drivers.
  • Ownership of category analysis to support current and future programs related to promotional activity and off shelf product placement.
  • Key decision lead for order fulfillment troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action.
  • Participate in weekly collaboration meetings with our Business Development Team and customer Merchandising teams.
  • Collaborate with the Transportation and Distribution teams, providing weekly projected origin/destination volume associated with the shipment forecast.
  • Provide direction to the Orders to Cash team to resolve data quality errors from received purchase orders. Partner with the customer's Inventory, Planning, and Replenishment team to ensure data alignment.
  • Contribute to pre-season inventory load-in order development, aligning quantities and projections with our customer supply chain team.
  • Analyze and develop supplemental customer purchase order recommendations to maintain optimal retail inventory levels.
  • Drive continuous improvement by working with internal and external contacts as needed to resolve recurring issues.
Ideal Candidates will have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, Business Administration or other applicable fields.
  • 2-5 years minimum business experience in a Supply Chain role. Demand Planning, Finance, Fulfillment Planning, Sales Execution, or Replenishment Planning within a manufacturing CPG environment is preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Inventory Management, Distribution, or other Supply Chain concentrations.
  • Familiarity with retail environments, manufacturing CPG companies, or distribution networks.
  • Strong analytical and statistical skills.
  • Experience using SAP or a similar ERP system preferred
  • Must have advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with data manipulation/correction & analysis.
  • Experience/familiarity with Power Query, Power Pivot, VBA, DAX or M.
  • Able to work effectively cross-functionally across multiple levels and stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passionate and detailed in task execution.
  • Ability to be flexible and open to change.
  • Ability to accept category ownership and accountability.
The starting budgeted pay range for this role will generally fall between $85,100.00 - $100,100.00 per year. Scotts will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.
