Offering a hiring bonus of $500 upon successful completion of 90-day new hire probation period.

Salary Range- Starting range $19- $22/hr with opportunity to increase within 90 days of successful employment.

Schedule- Full-time; Monday-Friday 9AM-5PM

About Advocate Support Services: Advocate Support Services, Inc. provides Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services to adults with mental illness for the purpose of facilitating their recovery. We educate, support and advocate for our client’s and assist them in achieving and maintaining the highest levels of independence and improving their overall quality of life.

JOB SUMMARY:

  • The case worker provides Psychiatric Rehabilitation services for adults with mental illness in and around Baltimore City, Baltimore County, Anne Arundel County and Howard County. Services are provided in client homes, as well as within their community settings.
  • This position requires use of your personal vehicle for work purposes.
  • Ideal candidates will be well organized self-starters with excellent writing skills to document services provided to clients.
  • We are an organization that uses MAC products so Tech Savviness/computer literacy is a must (internet use, email, mobile devices)
  • Daily case file documentation is required, with additional documentation deadlines throughout each month; candidates must be self-responsible to balance administrative-related duties with direct service responsibilities.


Qualifications and Requirements

* Candidates must pass a criminal background check, as required by applicable State of MD regulations.

* Associate's degree or higher, in social or human services, preferred NOT required.

* Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner credential preferred.

* Candidates must possess their own vehicle and show proof of insurance upon hire.

* Previous experience working with ADULTS with mental illness is preferred.

* Previous Case Work or Case Management experience preferred.


All services are provided in accordance with rehabilitation plans that are developed per our clients' designated goals, and in accordance with their treatment team. The services we provide include, but are not limited to assisting our clients with:

• Obtaining and maintaining housing,

• Community integration

• Social skill development

• Learning to independently perform activities of daily living, and general life skills

• Maintaining collaborative relationships with clients' mental health, and other, providers
