McC Management is growing, and we are in search of a Service Technician to join our impressive team of leaders! We are located across Eastern and Central Washington, with an inclusive culture of operational quality that delivers achieved goals for everyone. A Service Technician ensures the physical aspects of the community are maintained and standards are met regarding the grounds, amenities and overall curb appeal and provides support to the service team members.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings and ensure all common areas and amenities are always neat and free of litter.
  2. Removes trash and remaining items from vacant apartments prior to starting the make-ready process, transfers trash to dumpster or storage area as applicable, and cleans and maintains storage areas.
  3. Completes assigned minor and routine service requests as requested by Service Supervisor and/or Community Manager and assists the make-ready specialist in the turn process.
  4. Change all locks in accordance with the property policy and ensure gates to all pool areas are working according to codes and safety standards.
  5. Distributes notices and communications to residents as necessary. Inform appropriate supervisors of any observed hazard or potentially dangerous situation for residents, team members, guests, and others.
  6. Demonstrates customer services skills by treating residents and others with respect, answering resident questions, and responding sensitively to complaints about maintenance services.

Working Conditions: Work both in and outside of apartment buildings and in all areas of the community, including the amenities. This could mean exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions (temperatures may vary depending on location).

Physical Demands:

  • Need to be able to stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time and bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects, and crawl in confined areas.
  • Must be able to work inside and outside in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to thirty-five (35) pounds independently and fifty-five (55) pounds with assistance.
  • Rare or regular travel may be required to assist other properties as needed, attend training classes, business meetings, or other situations necessary for the accomplishment of some or all of the daily responsibilities of this position.
  • Must be able to work a flexible work schedule, which includes taking “call” during evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Must maintain a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and current auto insurance is required.

Required to complete and successfully pass the McC Fair Housing, Harassment, and Diversity and Inclusion training within the first 30 days of employment.

Compensation is based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job-related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

In addition to the base salary, onsite positions may be eligible for a discretionary weekly, monthly and/or quarterly bonus based on budget.
