Job Description of Kitchen Assistant Manger:
This position oversees the operations of the kitchen in the mission, reports to the Programs Director, and works cooperatively with all of the other members and volunteers.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Kitchen Assistant Manager:
- Planning, shopping, cooking, and clean up from breakfast and lunch.
- Keep written calendar of volunteers.
- Clean all areas of the kitchen including stove top, oven, grill and convection oven as needed.
- Maintain a secure and safe environment for the guests, volunteers, and staff.
- Follow staff policy and procedure manual.
- Provide backup support for other staff as needed.
Critical Qualifications of a Kitchen Assistant Manger:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Experience as a Kitchen Manager.
- Experience with homeless men is preferred
- Must have a valid drivers license.
