As an Electrical Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) Purchaser, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and efficient procurement of electrical vehicle supplies, components, and equipment. You will be responsible for managing the sourcing, purchasing, and supplier relationship activities to support the company's EV charging stations production and operations. Your focus will be on securing high-quality supplies at competitive prices while adhering to company standards and sustainability practices. As an EVSE Purchaser, you will have a crucial role in supporting the company's EVSE production and sustainability goals. Your expertise in sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management will contribute to the successful operation and growth of our electrical vehicle initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Sourcing and Supplier Management:

• Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers for electrical vehicle charging station supplies, components, and equipment.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure optimal value and quality.
• Continuously assess supplier performance, capabilities, and capacity to meet the company's EVSE requirements.
• Monitor market trends and technological advancements in EV supplies and equipment, identifying potential new suppliers or alternative solutions.

Procurement and Purchase Order Management:

• Coordinate with internal Field Application Engineers and Project Managers to understand their EVSE needs and requirements.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Track and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of supplies while monitoring supplier performance and addressing any issues or delays.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, production, and quality assurance, to align procurement activities with project timelines and objectives.

Cost and Budget Management:

• Conduct cost analysis and negotiations to achieve competitive pricing for EVSE without compromising quality and reliability.
• Monitor and control procurement budgets, ensuring adherence to financial targets and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to manage supplier invoices, payments, and financial reconciliations.

Quality and Compliance:

• Ensure that all procured EV supplies meet the required quality standards and comply with applicable regulations and certifications.
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to perform supplier audits, inspections, and product testing when necessary.
• Stay up-to-date with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to EVSE procurement and sustainability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably within the automotive, or electric vehicle industry.
• Strong knowledge of charging station components, supplies, and equipment.
• Familiarity with sourcing strategies, negotiation techniques, and supplier management principles.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in using procurement software, SAP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

This is a fully onsite position located in Fremont, CA; Monday- Friday from 10 am to 7 pm.
