Charles Lea Center in Spartanburg, SC is hiring Direct Support Professional for the Day Program.


The Life Skills Instructor position earns a competitive wage of $14.06 per hour plus a $1.00 weekend premium sign-on bonus of $500. First shift. Flexible training is also available.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL:

As a Direct Support Professional you are responsible for supporting people with special needs and disabilities in a classroom setting. This will give the people we serve an opportunity to develop daily living skills. Will have to attend trainings and meetings as necessary that will increase knowledge and skills that will assist with training and supporting people towards independence. The Life Skill Instructor also helps with hands on support in many areas of daily living such as: medication administration, hygiene, grooming, shopping, meal preparation, and transportation as well as other community and employment skills and any other assigned duties.

QUALIFICATIONS:
•At least 18 years of age
•High school diploma
•Ability to pass a background check upon hire
•Valid driver's license
•Basic computer skills
