Job Description
Responsibilities:
In a 24-hour, 7 days a week CLS program, this position involves providing care and training of individuals in a residential setting. Operates under the general supervision of the Director / DDP.

Essential Functions:
Oversee and manage the daily operation of the residential home. Observation and documentation of individuals’ behaviors, medical conditions and training progress on an ongoing basis. Training and assisting the individuals in daily living skills, social skills and emergency skills. Maintain the home in a clean, healthy environment. The work is of routine difficulty and involves varied work schedules. In the event that the home needs coverage, the Home Manager will be responsible for obtaining coverage. If coverage is not obtained, the Home Manager will cover the home. In the event of an emergency, will be required to perform CPR, First Aid and/or Mindset. The Home Manager must have dependable transportation.
Duties and Specific Responsibilities:
- Maintaining individuals’ health and safety.
- Train individuals in daily living skills according to ISP and skill level.
- Integrate into community activities.
- Attend in-service training and staff meetings
- Member of the Inter-disciplinary Team.
- Observe and follow residential home and agency policies.
- Building maintenance, safety and sanitation.
- Responsibility for other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- CPR/First Aid Certification. Training will be provided.
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Experience or training in the field of developmental disabilities, mental health, special education or social services
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License, current automotive insurance and reliable transportation
- No more that 3 points currently on Driver’s License
- Ability to pass background, driving record and healthcare registry checks
- Willingness to address the personal care needs of individuals, including toileting needs
- Lifting up to 50 pounds may be necessary depending on the client
