Restaurant Host

In the River Arts District, are some of Asheville's newest, exciting concepts, including Golden Hour, an upscale restaurant by acclaimed restauranteur, Jacob Sessoms. We also have Afterglow, a daytime cafe that transitions to a nighttime lounge featuring a floating DJ ball above the bar! We also can't forget The Roof! Where Asheville's most incredible sunsets take place among fire pits, lounge furniture, and nightly entertainment.

If you’re enthusiastic and motivated with a friendly demeanor and have the ability to work well in a team environment, you’ll fit right into this host role! Excellent communication skills and a warm, courteous manner are needed for speaking with guests, answering phone inquiries, and making accurate reservations. One of your key duties will be to meet and greet guests warmly as they enter the restaurant and walk them to their seats. $17 hourly + tips

• Greet guests warmly as they enter to create a positive first impression of the restaurant
• Make reservations, plan out the seating chart, and troubleshoot customer phone inquiries
• Direct customers to their seats, ensuring tables are set properly with enough tableware for each diner, water glasses are filled, and menus are sanitized
• Clean up and clear plates after guests leave, and get the table ready for the next customers

• Must have excellent communication, customer service, and organization skills, as well as the ability to deal with customer requests in a courteous, efficient, and timely manner
• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent GED and should speak English well
• Prior food services, or hospitality service industry experience is preferred but not required
• Must be able to handle a fast-paced atmosphere with periods of standing on feet for an extended length of time

The Radical is opened in the River Arts District, and we're looking to add to our great team of hospitality professionals! Along with our hotel, we have bars, restaurants, and a cafe. An elevated wood fire grill restaurant Golden Hour, the sunset view The Roof bar with DJs and events, and Afterglow serving coffee and pastries during the day and cocktails and light bites into the night.

The Radical is a new concept in an old factory building, aiming to breathe new life into the area and be part of a balance between new development and historic roots.
