Job Description
WHO WE ARE
Primrose School of Lantana is an accredited private preschool that provides a premier educational child care experience. We offer year-round programs for children from infant through elementary-aged school age. We believe who children become is as important as what they know. Our franchise owners (Frank & Erin) are onsite daily and passionately believe in what they do. This is their only school, and they are committed to excellence (and fun!)

WHAT YOU'LL DO & WHY IT MATTERS
As a 2's / Early Preschool Teacher at Primrose School of Lantana located at 7020 Justin Road Lantana, TX 76226 you will help young minds explore, discover and understand the world around them. You will make a difference every day- both for children and their families.
Early Preschool teachers work with children ages 2-3. At this age, language development, gross motor skills, life skills such as potty training and socialization are some of the things we really focus on.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children.
  • Observes all rules and regulations pertaining to the health, safety and care of children.
  • Assesses each child's developmental needs.
  • Implements the provided curriculum daily classroom schedule.
  • Participates in parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations.
  • Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence.
  • Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior.
  • Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas and playgrounds.
  • Attends all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions.
OUR COMMITMENT TO YOU
Our school is successful when our teachers are rocking the curriculum in the classroom. Happy teachers and happy students are evidence we are doing this right! We provide:
  • Paid Training (upon hiring and annually)- we want you to feel equipped and empowered
  • An approachable leadership team that cares about your success (and you as a person!)
  • Support from our Education Coach
  • Health Insurance- we pay 50% of the base plan
  • Free Telehealth coverage that extends to your whole family
  • Dental, Vision & Disability Insurance offered
  • Staff Childcare Discount- starts at 50% and increases with your tenure
  • Annual raises and bonus
  • Paid Time Off & Holiday Pay
  • Opportunities for overtime
  • A set schedule Monday-Friday
WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
Our classrooms have 2 or 3 co-teachers depending on classroom size, and we all take responsibility for ensuring a healthy learning environment for children- we do not have lead teachers and assistants. Our teachers are dedicated and work hard and prefer a fun and drama-free workplace.

Our leadership team-Anita, Rachael, Katie & Christina- are here to support you and the daily operations of our school. They each have their niche, but together they make a supportive and dedicated team. Katie, our education coach, is dedicated to bringing out the best in teachers and helping them bring the curriculum to life.

YOU'LL BE A GOOD FIT IF...
If you aren't afraid of hard work (kids have lots of energy!), but also want to make a real difference, this may be the place for you. We really appreciate people who are flexible and team-oriented (sometimes we have to help each other out, because life happens). It's important that you're a good communicator with the leadership team, your teammates, and parents. A teacher with at least a year of experience in early childhood is our preference, but if you have the right heart and a coachable personality, we can work with that! Knowing the social, emotional and creative needs of young children is a must (but we also train in this area) and you need to be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. For Infant and Young Toddler teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib.

Each Primrose school is a privately owned and operated franchise, and the respective Franchise Owner is the employer at each school. Franchise Owners set their own wage and benefit programs, which vary among Franchise Owners. Primrose Schools and its Franchise Owners are equal opportunity employers. Positions and position titles vary by school.
