Comfort Keepers is looking for home aides, nursing assistants and caregivers for clients in Parker and Hood counties. We provide uplifting one-on-one care to seniors. Our agency is screening for candidates who are positive, professional, interested in joining an industry leader, interested in learning and growing their skills within the senior care industry. Our caregivers are not only reliable, dependable, and skilled, but also compassionate, kind and caring. The direct care staff offers BOTH Companion Care and Personal Care. We seek to "Elevate the Human Spirit." We have veterans needing 8 hours per week and also cases with around - the - clock needs, 24/7 care, so have 4, 6, 8 and 12-hour shifts available.
The regular wage is $15.00 to $17.00 per hour, plus benefits!
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing companionship and conversation
- Assisting with ADLs - personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, bathroom needs, and feeding
- Performing light housekeeping tasks such as laundry and linen changing
- Laying out clothes and assisting with dressing
- Planning and preparing meals
- Providing medication reminders
- Providing transportation to and from dr. appointments, pharmacy, grocery store
- Documentation & notes on sleep, diet, behavior, changes in condition
MIN. JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to treat clients with dignity and respect
- Ability to interpret the client's provided plan of care
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Patient, ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations
- Tolerance to small pets (i.e. dogs and/or cats)
- Must be able to be reached via phone or email for shift schedules, client updates, and/or emergencies
- Able to lift a minimum of 25 lbs
- Smart phone
- Prior experience with dementia patients and senior care, is a plus!
