First Bank and Trust is seeking a Branch Operations Supervisor in Kingsport to join our team. The Branch Operation Supervisor manages the Tellers and Relationship Bankers at the branch location. These individuals are responsible for branch operational duties and promoting the Bank’s products and services and provide customer referrals for new products and services on a daily basis.

POSITION SUMMARY: The Branch Operations Supervisor is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, supervising all tellers & CSRs, opening new accounts, serving as back-up teller/head teller, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, receiving and processing loan application and retaining and growing depository customers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and enhances staff productivity through hiring, training, coaching and counseling.
  • Oversees the administration of CSRs and Tellers and performs periodic and annual staff evaluations.
  • Opens and processes new account products and services within the bank.
  • Routinely severs as a Teller and/or CSR.
  • Completes the weekly work schedule for the branch location.
  • Provides clients with information on deposit accounts, rates, service charges, restrictions, financial services and other relevant account information.
  • Consults with customers to provide financial advice and to obtain current credit and financial information as needed.
  • Knowledgeable of all Bank Products and services.
  • Cross sells bank products and services.
  • Coordinates and manages inside and outside maintenance of buildings and grounds to include contract negotiations. This will include but not be limited to branch cleaning, elevator repair, heating and air conditioning, lawn care, lighting and snow removal.
  • Reviews, approves and submits branch bills in a timely manner.
  • Assist Internal and External Auditors as necessary and responds to written reports and requests in a timely manner.
  • Reviews and prepares reports relating to branch activity.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures including but not limited to loan policy, opening/closing procedures, security controls and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree - Accounting, Business and/or Finance preferred
  • Work Experience may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
