Laser Operator - Full-time / Part-time

Express Employment Professionals in Everett is hiring a skilled Laser Operator to join our client's team in Mukilteo. This is a fulltime, permanent position that trains on day shift and switches to afternoons.

The ideal candidate will have experience in CNC laser operation within a sheet metal manufacturing environment. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to meeting production requirements.

This position requires initial training from Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Once training is complete, the schedule shifts to Monday to Thursday, 2:30 p.m. - 1 a.m.

Responsibilities:

• Set-up and operate Fiber Laser to produce parts meeting production needs
• Identify and load required materials onto machines
• Make program edits as necessary
• Prepare finished parts for shipment
• Change out consumables and make adjustments as needed
• Perform material handling tasks, including loading materials for job runs
• Measure completed workpieces to ensure conformance
• Read work orders to determine specifications
• Maintain shop, tools, and equipment

Skills and Experience Desired: 

• 1-3 years of CNC Laser experience in sheet metal manufacturing
• Ability to learn laser cutting program and automated offloading equipment functions
• Understanding of flat print drawings preferred
• Forklift experience
• CNC Laser: 1-3 years
• Experience with parts nesting software and laser control programming

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand and move for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 40 lbs.
