About this job

Cetra Ruddy is seeking a Senior Project Manager in New York City to lead large governmental, cultural, and institutional projects. Candidates must be able to demonstrate experience working on large-scale civic projects with multiple stakeholders, including government agencies.

The selected candidate will lead a large, multi-disciplinary team for large, public projects in NYC, and working directly with the Principal-in-Charge, will interface directly with Clients, Collaborators, and Senior officials as the primary individual responsible for the project and coordination with teams both inside and outside of CetraRuddy. Success in this role will be measured against a project's financial, design, and client satisfaction outcomes.

This leadership role will carry through all design phases of projects and will require an individual who can not only develop conceptual ideas, but who can also see those concepts through to their technical documentation.

As a leader in the firm, your impact is expected to carry beyond projects to the firm level, with a demonstrated interest for mentorship and a desire to participate in the ongoing efforts to improve the firm’s process and tools.

You must have strong curiosity and ambition, and be comfortable with leading team members by example, with empathy and clarity.

Your Qualifications

  • Professional Architecture Degree. Masters preferred but not necessarily a requirement
  • 12+ years of related experience
  • A minimum of 8 years of project management experience
  • Licensure a plus, but not necessarily a requirement
  • Demonstrated strength of technical knowledge & design sensibility
  • Demonstrated knowledge of building codes, zoning, jurisdictional processes, building materials, specifications, and construction techniques
  • Demonstrated knowledge of 3D modeling & BIM documentation tools, including Revit and the Adobe Suite
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, relationship management, and mentoring skills
  • Demonstrated experience of responsibility for project planning, budgeting, scheduling, quality, and mentoring of multiple project teams in technical delivery concurrently
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant in the culture of the studio

Pay Range: The base salary will be estimated between $130,000 - $160,000 plus bonuses and benefits, contingent on relevant experience
