TruckPro is seeking a Service Repair Manager who will be responsible for managing service repair operation with the prime purpose of increasing sales, gross margin, and overall profitability by planning, controlling, and directing the repair of medium to heavy duty trucks and all models of trailers. This role is responsible for implementing succession planning, performance management and people development initiatives.

Service Repair Manager Responsibilities Include:

\n
    \n
  • Identify and diagnose problems to drive solutions and alignment with culture, values and business needs.
  • \n
  • Develop strategy to increase service business as to utilize all technicians efficiently.
  • \n
  • Ensure customers are informed on completion times, services expenses, and possible changes.
  • \n
  • Responsible for developing and communicating financial and business performance goals for the shop.
  • \n
  • Manage and coach associates by engaging with Human Resources & Talent Acquisition to assist with recruitment, talent management and development, organizational structure and planning, and employee relations issues.
  • \n
  • Advise management concerning issues related to shop operations.
  • \n
  • Facilitate effective management of production schedules.
  • \n
  • Ensure that all daily, weekly, and monthly financial requirements are completed as required; meet month-end close and cut off requirements.
  • \n
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety requirements.
  • \n
  • Oversee and participate in the development, implementation and maintenance of annual operating budgets, ensuring that operations are managed within the established guidelines.
  • \n
  • Monitor the profit/loss of each job and the shop.
  • \n
  • Monitor the daily production of shop to ensure that all production standards are met and consistent with pricing schedules.
  • \n
  • Implement all regional and corporate change initiatives such as the implementation of new systems, compensation plans, or other policies, practices, and procedures.
  • \n
  • Administer financial matters including inventory management, collection and disbursement of funds, etc.
  • \n
  • Maintain a clean and safe shop.
  • \n

Successful Service Repair Manager Candidate Will Have:

\n
    \n
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • \n
  • 2-5 years experience in Service Repair Management
  • \n
  • Heavy duty truck repair experience
  • \n
  • Associate's Degree or Technical certificate in heavy duty mechanics preferred
  • \n
  • Automotive Service Excellence certification appropriate to the job or equivalent preferred
  • \n
