Login Technician (Seasonal)

Element has an opportunity for a Login Technician to join our growing team in Fort Wayne, IN for a 3-month seasonal assignment. This is a great opportunity to develop your Administration career within a Global TIC business.

Receive samples and document receipt, Inspect samples and sample information sheet, documenting sample integrity. Notify Team Leaders of any potential problems with samples, analysis or client requests
• Communicate with client regarding sample integrity and analysis requests and document all communications. Receive payment from clients
• Enter sample and client information into LIMS, assigning analysis requirements and generating sample labels, Notice of Sample Receipt and Lot Communication Sheets
• Distribute samples to the correct sample storage location, determine internal / external sublet location and prepare sample for shipping

• Working knowledge of laboratory safety
• HS diploma or GED certificate preferred. College or vocational school coursework welcomed
• 0-2 years' experience in a testing related field
• Basic understanding of testing concepts
• Possess computer skills.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plus
• Possess the ability to work alone periodically throughout the work day with supervision
• Understand what must be completed each work day and takes the initiative to complete those tasks properly and timely - does not need Senior/Principal Technician or management to explain what the task is
• Ability to read and understand customer specifications and perform the testing required
• Able to develop a proven ability to set up and perform a variety of tests according to customer specifications under the supervision and technical input of Senior/Principal

Physical Demands:

• Frequency of required physical force: Minimum (moderate).
• Lifting requirements: lifting <50 lbs. often and > 50 lbs. on occasion
• Ability to stand on feet for long periods of time
• Ability to lift 50+lbs periodically
