Forklift Operator

Looking for a rewarding career opportunity? Staffmark is currently seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team in Wilmington, NC.

Pay rate: $20/hr | Shift: 1st shift, Monday to Friday

As a Forklift Operator, you'll play a crucial role in our warehouse operations, responsible for efficiently operating material handling equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your duties will include unloading inbound shipments, preparing products for shipment, ensuring inventory accuracy, and performing picking duties to meet customer service standards. Operating various types of forklift equipment within a rack warehouse environment, you'll maintain safety protocols and efficiently manage inventory control.

Qualifications & Responsibilities:

• Stack and store merchandise using sit-down/standup, clamp, cherry, and reach equipment
• Unload inbound shipments and move products to storage locations
• Prepare products for shipment and ensure accuracy in loading
• Perform picking duties efficiently and move products into trailers
• Operate all equipment safely and maintain proper records
• Assist in physical inventories and ensure stock rotation
• Conduct cycle counts and report inventory discrepancies
• Utilize RF scanning equipment for inventory accuracy
• High School Diploma/GED preferred
• Minimum 1 year of forklift experience or using warehouse distribution equipment
• Ability to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours and lift/pull 50 lbs. without restriction
• Excellent attention to detail, customer service skills, and basic math skills
