School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) for Next School Year | Frenchtown, MT

ProCare Therapy is seeking a passionate full-timeOccupational Therapistthis upcoming school yearfor a contract position located inthe Frenchtown, Montanaarea. For anyone commuting for this position, we can provide paid travel and housing stipends to help compensate for the drive.

Description:

• Full-time
• Start Fall 2024
• Virtual Interview
• $38-45+ per hour
• Current caseload direct service 38 students, 22 consultative

EverydayResponsibilities:

• Evaluate students preK, K to 12 to determine their functional levels and to identify their special needs.
• Plan and implement therapeutic activities to assist special education students in benefiting from their educational experience.
• Attend ER meetings, IEP, 504 meetings for school district students as well as other meetings to collaborate with staff
• Maintain up-to-date student records including daily notes for Medicaid eligible students, progress monitoring, and other documentation
• Collaborate recommend activities/strategies to school staff to support RTI/Tiered approach
• Attend pre-referral Student Assistance Team meetings, if time allows
• Collaborate with other school staff school-based services to students in all grades.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program
• Current licensure to practice occupational therapy
• Preferred background/understanding with IEP goal writing, reporting, timelines and other educational processes
• Preferred 1-2 years experience working with school aged children
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
