Peoples National Bank is seeking a highly motivated, customer service oriented individual to fill our Human Resources Associate position at our Mt. Vernon Corporate Location.

Qualifications for Position:

  • High school diploma or equivalent or related experience; Associate degree preferred
  • 2 – 4 years of Human Resources experience
  • Excellent computer application processing skills, specializing in Excel and Word, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally, both written and orally, with employees, members of HR, and group presentations or meetings.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to effectively read and interpret information and gather and analyze information.
  • Must be able to prioritize and plan work tasks efficiently.
  • Must be adept at problem-solving, able to identify issues and present effective resolution.
  • Ability to obtain a working knowledge of the laws and regulations applicable to the job responsibilities.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update Human Resources policies, procedures, and HR web/computer programs.
  • Maintain and monitor HRIS (ADP).
  • Coordinate New Employee Orientation and all onboarding processes.
  • Responsible for the recruitment process, including evaluation of applicants, selection of candidates, and performing background checks.
  • Develop and maintain various computer documents, spreadsheets and database files.
  • Maintenance of employee insurance benefits through provider websites (enrolling/terminating/making changes as needed)
  • Process monthly insurance providers invoices
  • Audit invoices and personnel records
  • Assist with coordination of annual and new employee benefits
  • Maintain compliance of all HR regulatory concerns
  • Assess employee issues for exposure to employment litigation
