Job Summary:

The Factory Structures Industrial Engineer with an MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) focus is responsible for overseeing the design, development, and production processes of factory assembled structures. This role emphasizes optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and enhancing product reliability. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to streamline operations and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop innovative design elements and documentation to assure compliance with building codes and regulations.
  • Interpret and apply local, state, and national building codes and regulations to guide manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Optimize manufacturing processes and workflows to improve efficiency, safety, and product quality.
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and stakeholders to align designs with regulatory requirements and project objectives.
  • Conduct analyses to identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
  • Work closely with manufacturing teams to implement lean manufacturing techniques and enhance production efficiency.
  • Manage prototype and pre-production builds to meet project timelines and objectives, with a particular emphasis on MEP systems.
  • Interface with customers and regulatory agencies to address product information and quality concerns.
  • Establish and maintain open communication channels with internal stakeholders.
  • Participate in company-wide Lean and Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Create required work instructions to support production team members.

In the first 30-Days you will:

  • Learn about Pallets new product projects and ongoing designs.
  • Learn about how to work well with the team and understand the team's dynamic.
  • Familiarize oneself with ongoing projects.
  • Begin studying relevant building codes and regulations related to MEP systems.
  • Provide Industrial/Manufacturing engineering support to improve quality, safety and efficiency on the production line.


In the first 60 Days you will:

  • Apply knowledge of building codes to ongoing projects to ensure compliance and optimal design.
  • Analyze materials commonly used in production and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in AutoDesk design software, specifically focusing on MEP-related applications.
  • Participate in design discussions for the development of next generation product.

Within 90 days you will:

  • Lead the application of building codes in ongoing projects, providing guidance to ensure compliance.
  • Propose recommendations for optimizing manufacturing processes while maintaining compliance with regulations.


Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in industrial engineering or a related field, with a focus on manufacturing processes, specifically MEP systems and factory assembled structures.
  • Proficiency in interpreting and applying building codes and regulations.
  • Experience with process optimization and lean manufacturing techniques.
  • Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent, specifically focusing on MEP-related applications.

Bonus Points for:

  • Familiarity with sustainable and environmentally friendly construction practices.
  • In-depth knowledge of advanced engineering principles and modern construction technologies.

Physical Requirements:

LOCATION

  • Full-time, on-site position at the company's headquarters in Everett.

PAY RANGE

Our target HIRING range for this role is $97,000 - $121,000. The entire pay range for this position is $97,000 - $146,000 per year; Base pay information is based on market location. per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
