Position Summary:

As an Activities Support Staff member, your role revolves around collaborating as part of a team to facilitate events of diverse sizes and purposes within the activities department. These events encompass a wide range, from concerts and dances to happy hours, trivia nights, luncheons, vendor shows, and more.

PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES:

Kitchen Assistant

  • Preps food and dishwasher
  • Maintains food safety practices
  • Serves food and drinks
  • Cleans up after events and maintains cleanliness of kitchen and dining area

Bartender

  • Acquires AZ Title 4 Basic Liquor Law Training certificate
  • Serves alcohol to residents
  • Assists with bar inventory

Usher

  • Makes sure audience members are in proper seat
  • Follows fire codes by keeping aisles clear
  • Provides basic information and checks restroom cleanliness, takes out trash

Ticket Taker/Cashier

  • Manages cash box and tickets
  • Receives cash and gives change to residents

Set Up/Tear Down Team

  • Moves chairs and tables to event location
  • Decorates and adds chair signs
  • Takes out trash

Door Monitor/Security

  • Patrols venue and ensures attendees follow rules
  • Watches for security threats and intervenes in problem situations
  • Ensures venue capacity is not exceeded and assists Public Safety in emergencies
Requirements:

KEY COMPETENCIES:

  1. Flexibility and Adaptability: Able to adapt to various situations and meet resident needs effectively
  2. Compliance: Possesses a current Arizona Food Handlers Card and Acquire AZ Title 4 Basic Liquor Law Training certificate if required
  3. Availability: Flexible to work nights and weekends as necessary

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Relevant experience in hospitality, customer service, or related fields preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Constantly stand, walk, push, pull, lift grasp, bend and kneel; Frequently use arms and hands
  • Manual dexterity for handling paperwork and using office equipment
  • Clear vision and hearing for reviewing documents and communicating effectively
  • Capability to lift up and carry up to 30 pounds
