Marketing Manager


SUMMARY


The Marketing Manager reports to the Director of Marketing and Performance. The Marketing Manager is a key team member in the implementation of comprehensive marketing strategies that enhance the visibility, reputation, and enrollment goals of Columbus College of Art & Design. This role requires a nimble collaborator with a solid background in managing websites and supporting digital marketing campaigns, strong project management skills, and the ability to work well within and across departments.


RESPONSIBILITIES


Website management

  • Acts as primary manager for CCAD website, overseeing site health, development needs, page design and performance
  • Creates and/or oversees page creation and updates, depending on complexity of needs
  • Ensures technical SEO best practices are applied consistently and pages are optimized for SEO
  • Develops landing pages for campaigns and works with Director to continuously optimize performance through A/B testing
  • Responsible for content maintenance calendar, communicating with partners in the department and across the college to ensure regular updates are made
  • Acts as primary point of contact for back-end development partners
  • Provides reports on technical performance as requested
  • Makes recommendations for optimizing the user experience on the web

Marketing campaign support

  • Assists director with day-to-day management of marketing campaigns, ensuring budgets are allocated appropriately to optimize campaign performance and maximize ROI
  • Performs competitive research, as requested
  • Coordinates with outside vendors, as needed, for support and campaign deployment
  • Ensure creative assets and messaging content are consistently refreshed and on brand
  • Ensure marketing spend across channels and platforms remains within budget
  • Maintains calendar for creative updates and oversees organization of digital assets for campaigns

Email marketing support

  • Develops templates for email marketing campaigns
  • Builds emails and sends emails for Marketing & Communications
  • Maintains list hygiene and ensures compliance with email stands and regulations
  • Analyzes and reports on KPI's for email campaigns

Other

  • Assists with audience research, as requested
  • Demonstrates CCAD's core values of Respect, Positivity, Inspiration, and Accountability

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years marketing experience
  • Strong knowledge of CMS platforms required; front-end website management experience preferred
  • HTML & CSS skills preferred
  • Knowledgeable in best practices related to technical SEO
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing landscape and channel usage
  • Experience building email marketing campaigns
  • Experience with Adobe products (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, XD) a plus
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field preferred
  • 5 years marketing experience highly desirable
  • Experience in higher education marketing is a strong advantage

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is low.

The pace of the work environment is moderate to fast.

The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.


COMPENSATION: This position is full-time, Exempt, and year-round. Compensation is commensurate on experience and qualifications. CCAD offers a benefits package including:
