As a Utility team member at our restaurant inside RDU airport, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our restaurant by performing a combination of dishwashing, bussing, and restocking duties. You will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas, as well as supporting other team members as needed to deliver exceptional hospitality.


Responsibilities:
  • Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to ensure all dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment are cleaned and sanitized according to health and safety standards.
  • Assist in bussing tables, clearing dishes, and resetting tables promptly to maintain a clean and welcoming dining environment.
  • Monitor and restock supplies, including dishware, glassware, utensils, and cleaning supplies, to ensure uninterrupted service during peak hours.
  • Dispose of trash and recyclables in designated receptacles and maintain cleanliness in all restaurant areas, including kitchen, dining room, and restrooms.
  • Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks, such as chopping vegetables, portioning ingredients, or assembling dishes, as needed.
  • Follow proper sanitation and food handling procedures at all times to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety compliance.
  • Collaborate with fellow team members to support a positive work environment and provide assistance during busy periods or special events.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including uniform standards, attendance, and punctuality.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting and communicate clearly with coworkers and supervisors.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization in all areas of responsibility.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as needed.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation principles is a plus.
  • Must comply with all airport security regulations and pass background checks as required.
