Work Hours:

6:30 am – 6:00 pm (8 hours per day – Flexible)

Position Summary

The Accounting Lead will plan and direct the accounting activities of the department.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting staff who are responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, and budget preparation.
• Conduct performance evaluations for accounting staff and support recruiting and hiring efforts when needed.
• Coordinate training programs for new staff and identifies training needs for current staff.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Adhere and lead to Seeking Health’s Core Values.
• Establish internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
• Oversee preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
• Oversee the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or financial reporting standards.
• Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files annual corporate tax return.
• Audit accounts to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; coordinates with outside auditors and provides needed information for the annual external audit.
• Present recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies.
• Provide financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
• Adhere to other duties as assigned.

• Proficient in accounting and tax preparation software required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software required.
• NetSuite, Power BI and eCommerce skills preferred.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration required.
• Eight years or more of related experience required.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) strongly preferred.
  • If not currently certified, all certification requirements must be acquired within 12 months of hire date. Seeking Health will pay for study material and exam fees.
