CNC Mill Operator

• Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading, understanding, and following blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
• Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
• Supervise the machines while they execute NC programs and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result
• Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly
• Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality
• Complete necessary paperwork as required per Wolverine quality system.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Proven experience as CNC operator
• A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach
• Be able to indicate parts to be machined; maintain the proper tooling and offsets required for productive machining.
• Good communication abilities
• CNC Operators are expected to do the following: Follow safety requirements and maintain certifications, Inspect the machinery and product for quality assurance, Perform daily maintenance on the machinery, Handle materials appropriately and safely.
• Must be available for nights and weekends with occasional overtime.
• Capable of reading and understanding production documents and safety manuals.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
• Must comply with safety policies.
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Attend all safety and production trainings.
• Must be reliable and punctual.
• Must be able to properly use measuring devices including calipers, micrometers, tape measures gages, etc.

Credentials and Experience

• CNC Mill Experience required.
• 5 axis mill experience, setup and probing are strongly preferred. Manufacturing experience working in industrial production is strongly preferred.

Essential Physical Functions

• Ability to work on the production floor with exposure to dust, fumes, odors, loud noise, and varying temperatures.
• Ability to perform physical tasks that are repetitive.
• Ability to do work requiring standing with frequent stooping, bending, reaching overhead and sufficient manual dexterity to perform all aspects of the job.
• Ability to lift, move parts and equipment up to 50 pounds.
