Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) Needed in Owatonna, Minnesota

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) inOwatonna, MNto join our dynamic team. The COTA will work under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists to provide comprehensive rehabilitation services to patients of all ages. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for individuals experiencing physical, developmental, or emotional challenges.

Job Description:

• Owatonna, MN
• Full Time
• Assisting a virtual OT with weekly evals/IEPs

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with occupational therapists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, activities of daily living, and functional mobility.
• Utilize therapeutic modalities and adaptive equipment as prescribed by the supervising therapist.
• Document patient progress, treatment interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and continuing education opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Associates degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• State licensure or eligibility for licensure in Minnesota.
• CPR certification (preferred).
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients and colleagues.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
