Summary:

Collect and image all medical records following dates of service, analyze medical records for documentation deficiencies, collect and complete birth certificate information when necessary, monitors various dictation systems to address and resolve issues with dictated reports when necessary, assist physicians with completing medical records and compile complete and accurate lists of physicians with delinquent medical records. 

CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi-Shoreline overlooking Corpus Christi Bay is the largest and foremost acute care medical facility in the region, with a full range of diagnostic and surgical specialty services in cardiac, cancer and stroke care. It is the leading emergency facility in the area and the only Level II Trauma Center in the Coastal Bend, staffed with physicians and nurses specially trained in emergency services.

  • The Pavilion and the Critical Care Center house a state-of-the-art Emergency Department, ICU, Cardiac Cath Lab and surgical suites.

Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent Attain and maintain bi-yearly TER training and yearly AOP training for Birth Registrars (BR).
  • Minimum two years medical records experience in a physician’s office or other out patient health care facility.
  • May be acquired and maintained after hire when provided by the State for BR.
