Job Description

  • Serves as a Senior Integrated Logistics Support Manager responsible for ensuring the development of all elements of ILS for assigned systems supporting a Project Management Office.
  • Responsibility extends from concept through field deployment and encompasses the full range of initial ILS planning and implementation, liaison, contract monitoring, and control of other Government elements.
  • Provide logistics support for acquisition and sustainment activities.
  • Coordinates with program office stakeholders to develop the initial ILS Plans for the assigned system(s) and oversee the development of other logistics planning documents by Government and/or contractor organizations.
  • Projects contractor and Government support requirements and initiate action to obtain this support. Serves as Acquisition Requirements Package (ARP) lead for assigned programs.
  • Works with other personnel in planning and implementing overall specifications, Acquisition Plans, Decision Coordinating Papers, Statements of Work, Procurement Work Directives, implementing instructions, contracts, and Coordinated Test Plans.
  • Convenes and chairs meetings to assure timely accomplishments and resolve differences between military services/agencies to achieve ILS objectives.
  • Observes all technical phases of the ILS program for assigned equipment development, production, modification, and/or integration.
  • Applies knowledge and experience in program/budget control and broad technical knowledge of communication concepts, techniques, practices, equipment, systems, and an intensive knowledge of maintenance requirements procedures and interrelationships.
  • Coordinates the development of current, accurate, and adequate ILS procurement data.
  • Serves as an expert in assigned areas and advises supervisor and Project Manager on ILS matters.

Implement acquisition strategies to facilitate a System transitioning to Sustainment. Lead in developing, reviewing and/or managing of contracts such as Performance Work Statements/Statements of Work (PWS/SOW), Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL), and assessment of deliverables.
