Job Summary:

Responsibilities are to maintain the safety and well-being of all Recreation drop-in and program participants across all Recreation sites. Is responsible as a first responder to accidents, injuries, and patron complaints/conflict.

Essential Duties:

• Ensures the safety and well-being of all patrons while maintaining a visibly positive and approachable composure to promote patron-employee interaction.
• Remains current in CPR, First Aid, & BBP certification and is knowledgeable in all emergency procedures of the Rec Center.
• Is responsible as a first responder to accidents, injuries, and patron complaints/conflict.
• Perform routine safety and upkeep checks throughout all facilities and pieces of equipment.
• Available and knowledgeable on use of various types of exercise equipment.
• Provides a clean and enjoyable atmosphere for the patrons by completing all assigned and on-demand equipment cleaning and organizing.
• Completes hourly patron and fitness machine, usage counts and records them in appropriate database.
• Assists with inventory control of all Pro Shop inventory, including delivery receiving, stocking and inventory counts.
• Knowledgeable of facility management software and able to complete daily visitor check-in.
• Responsible for managing laundry service for staff and patron cleaning supplies and towels.
• Attends all mandatory staff meetings and training sessions.
• Knows and enforces facility policies and patron rules.
• Communicates and relays information, concerns, feedback etc. to the appropriate full-time staff.
• Represents the Recreational Sports Center Core Values. Refer to Staff Manual.
• Reports to work on time and in the proper uniform.
• Takes responsibility of all assigned shifts and duties attending all shifts or finding appropriate coverage when unable to complete assigned duties.
• Available to work mornings, evenings and weekends as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BBP certification obtained within the first 30 days of employment
• Current American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, and Standard First Aid certification or obtain within first 30 days of employment
• ServSafe Food Handlers Certification obtained within 30 days of employment
