FIELD SAFETY COORDINATOR (RENEWABLE NATURAL GAS)
Columbus, OH
Locations that they will be traveling to include Findley, OH; New Lexington, OH; Pittsburgh, PA; and Lilly, KY
80% Travel within 4-hr radius
Primary Responsibilities:
• Ensure all company operations adhere to safety regulations and standards relevant to the renewable natural gas industry.
• Visit project sites to evaluate progress and respond to Project Manager, Contractor, and Customer safety related questions, issues and or concerns.
• Perform safety and quality inspections for on-going projects and completed projects utilizing checklist and or other
safety related programs to identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks.
• Develop and deliver safety training programs to employees, contractors, and visitors, emphasizing best practices and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in accident/incident investigations, root cause, EH&S audits, regulatory inspections, and other components of the Environmental, Health and Safety System. Assist in the preparation of safety reports and maintain records of safety-related incidents and activities.
• Assist in maintaining safety policies and procedures, keeping them up to date with industry standards and legal requirements.
• Implement emergency response plans and drills to ensure preparedness in case of emergencies.
• Promote a culture of safety and responsibility among all employees and contractors.
• Stay up to date with environmental, health, and safety regulations, ensuring the company's compliance.
Requirements:
• A degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, or a related field is preferred.
• 2-4 years of proven experience in safety management within the renewable energy, natural gas, gas processing, power, or other industry with similar operating practices.
• Certification in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., CSP, ASP, OHST) is preferred. Need experience around H2S, HAZCOMM, Hotwork, First Aid/CPR, OSHA10.
• In-dept knowledge of safety regulations, guidelines, and best practices.
• Excellent communication and training skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to details and a commitment to safety.
• Ability to work in the field at construction sites and adapt to various working conditions which include extreme heat and cold.
• Pass a drug screen and maintain a valid U.S. driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently and self-directed; take initiative in seeking efficiencies of processes.
• Frequent travel required within the US. (80%)
Compensation:
Competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience to include Base Salary + bonus + benefit program + unit shares of equity.
80% travel by vehicle; rental car and company credit card will be supplied.
