Boring Mill Operator

Overview:

We are actively seeking a dedicated Boring Mill Operator for a contract-to-hire position based in Troy, OH. Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately set up and operate boring mills to fabricate high-quality machined parts according to specifications.
• Read, interpret, and work from blueprints, diagrams, and drawings to determine operational methods and sequences.
• Use precision measuring instruments to inspect machined parts and ensure they conform to specifications.
• Adjust and calibrate machine tools and equipment as needed to maintain accuracy during production.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues to ensure continuous operation.
• Collaborate with the manufacturing team to enhance efficiency and productivity.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and orderly work environment.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Boring Mill Operator, with a strong focus on manual operations and setups.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical blueprints and plans.
• Familiarity with standard machining concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in machining or a related field is a plus.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift materials as needed.
