Responsibilities

As an Outdoor Sports Guide, you will be an “ambassador of fun” by engaging our guests while keeping them safe and entertained on hikes between 3 and 12 miles. We are looking for employees who are passionate about nature, love people, and want to do meaningful work in beautiful places to help fulfill the Canyon Ranch mission of healthy personal transformation and wellness. Our team members are positive professionals who are open to feedback, work hard, love the outdoors, and enjoy life.

In addition to hiking, our guides have the opportunity to learn and teach climbing, cycling, mountain biking, archery, ropes course, night vision hikes, naturalist hikes, and a variety of other outdoor adventure programming.

Our tours range in size from 1-12 guests, and our guides safely operate a 15-passenger van and other equipment.

Schedule: Must be available 3-5 days a week from 5:30AM – 3:00PM

Pay rate starting at $16.00 per hour

Qualifications

• Preference given to experience in guiding, recreation, sports or customer service.
• Any experience with biking, climbing, ropes course, photography, archaeology, natural history, or art background is a plus.
• You will need to be 21 years of age or older and have a valid state driver's license with no moving violations for the previous 3 years.
• You must enjoy spending time with people while making conversation and building positive relationships.
