We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our team at L&S Metals. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the setup and operation of computer numerically controlled (CNC) machines to produce high-quality metal parts with precision and efficiency. Primary Job Duties
- Set up CNC machines according to job specifications, including tool selection and fixture setup.
- Operate CNC machines to produce components while monitoring the production process for quality and efficiency.
- Make necessary adjustments to machine settings to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Program CNC machines using CAM software or G-code programming.
- Debug and optimize CNC programs for efficiency and accuracy.
- Conduct frequent quality checks on machined parts to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards.
- Manage inventory of raw materials and tooling required for CNC operations.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in CNC machining is a plus.
- Proven experience as a CNC Operator in a metal fabrication or machining environment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Proficiency in CAM software or G-code programming.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and machine control.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds.
- Stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
