Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quality CMM Operator to join our team in Athens, TN. As a Quality CMM Operator in our automotive manufacturing facility, you will be responsible for operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to ensure the accuracy and quality of our products. Your expertise in using CMM, along with your knowledge of ERP software and measurement gauges, will play a vital role in maintaining our high standards of quality. If you have excellent communication skills, mechanical troubleshooting abilities, and a strong understanding of shop math, we encourage you to apply.
Responsibilities- Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to measure and inspect automotive parts
- Utilize ERP software to input and analyze measurement data
- Perform inspections using various measurement gauges
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues with CMM equipment
- Collaborate with team members to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions
- Communicate inspection results and quality issues to relevant departments
- Follow PPAP process guidelines for new product launches
- Conduct root cause analysis to identify and resolve quality issues
- Proficiency in operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)
- Experience with ERP software for data input and analysis
- Familiarity with measurement gauges and their applications
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members
- Ability to apply shop math skills for accurate measurements
- Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Prior experience with PPAP process for new product launches
- Capability to perform root cause analysis to identify and resolve quality issues
