Job Description

PPL Motorhomes is looking for a responsible Fleet Attendant to help our busy location. In this position, you will be responsible for supporting the work of RV Technicians, maintain a safe and clean area for customers and coworkers, move RV inventory around the lot, park and move RV units, and perform other miscellaneous duties. Some other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensures window prices on recreational vehicles are installed and removed as instructed
  • Keeps units and equipment secure from weather
  • Ensures slide-outs are in, jacks are down, steps are down, select awnings are opened and the doors are unlocked
  • Staging Units
  • Running errands for parts or supplies

Unit Move Time Goals
Minimum Performance: 20 - 24 MIN
Acceptable Performance: 15 - 19 MIN
Expected Performance: 10 - 14 MIN

I-2 Keep the lot clean and organized as instructed by management.

Public Lot Presentation: Debris, Bulk, and Trash must be emptied/cleared at all times (Trash Cans twice per day).
Service Drive / Parking Lot: All scheduled Unlist appointments must be pulled up to the parking lot no later than 8:45am.
All incoming / out going vehicles (Consignments, Test Drives, and SVC Drop Off/Pick Up) must be moved from the Parking Lot within 30 minutes of appointment completion.
Parking Lot must be cleared of all vehicles no later than 6:00pm daily.
This area must be kept clear of all road hazard debris, trash, and clutter at all times.

Evacuation Port / Delivery Pad:
These areas must be free and clear of extra cords and water hoses.
All extra items must be rolled up / stowed neatly.
All units in Delivery Pad must be staged and ready for Buyer Closing Consultations (includes AS IS units).

Sales Lots (Zone# 1 - 8):
This must be clean/clear of all debris (wood blocks, papers, chocks, trash, etc).
All units housed in Zone# 1 - 6 must be for sale, slides open, and ready for customer viewing.

Green Lot (Zone# 40):
This must be clear/clear of all clutter.
These units me be kept in "easy to access" locations.
All units housed in Zone# 40 must be in "Hold" or "Pending Arrival" status in the Seller Program.

Make-Ready (Zone# 10, 20, 30): These areas must be free and clear of extra cords and water hoses.
All extra items must be rolled up / stowed neatly.
All units in these Zones must be Pending (Sales Contract), PPL Owned (Blue Sheet Check-Out), and Sales Appointment (prospective Buyer wanting to see a unit plugged in and opened up).
All units in these Zones must be Tagged Accordingly (Sold Sign, Crooked Lot# Tag, ETC ETC). No other units may be housed in this area (Service Units, RTL's, Customer Vehicles, ETC ETC) 20%

I-3 Follow all safety and compliance regulations. 12%

I-4 Demonstrate the proper use of equipment to customers as appropriate. 11%

I-5 Effectively and professionally communicate with sales, service, customers and others as appropriate. 8%

II EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE AND SHOP SUPPORT: Effectively maintain equipment and complete all other shop work as assigned in a timely, accurate and efficient manner. 24%

II-1 Professionally maintain and clean equipment as agreed upon. 12%

II-2 Complete shop work as assigned in a timely, efficient and accurate manner. 8%

II-3 Complete all other tasks as requested by management. 4%

Requirements

  • Valid Driver's license
  • Towing experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to drive an RV
  • Previous yard tractor and/or forklift experience
  • May lift up to 25 lbs and/or move up to 50 lbs. with assistive devices

Benefits

 401K plan in which the company participates: PPL will match 100% of every dollar put into the

401K plan, up to 4 percent of contributions. Employee will be eligible for the 401K plan during the

first open enrollment period following their first six months of employment.

 Health Insurance Coverage. As of January 2022, PPL offers a Cigna Healthcare insurance plan in

which PPL pays ~$350.00 (Depending on plan selected) of the employee only coverage. Employee

becomes eligible on the first of the month after their first 60 days employment. Initial enrollment, if

employee chooses to participate, will be the 1st of the month after the employees has been

employed 60 days.

 Medical Reimbursement – Section 125

 Holiday pay totaling 8 paid holidays per year

 Vacation Pay (2 weeks after one year and 3 weeks after 10 years)

 Salary Continuation for long term disability
