Apprentice Carpenter

J-Chavez Design Build is seeking a hardworking and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Apprentice Carpenter. As an apprentice, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our experienced carpenters and learn the skills and techniques of the trade. The successful candidate will have a passion for construction and a strong work ethic, with a desire to grow and develop within our company.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in the construction of residential and commercial projects under the supervision of a journeyman carpenter

- Learn how to read and interpret blueprints and building plans

- Measure, cut, and shape various building materials

- Install and level building structures, including framing, flooring, and walls

- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and on time

- Maintain a clean and organized work site

- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations on site

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Prior experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not required

- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively

- Basic understanding of building codes and regulations

- Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions

- Capable of working independently and as part of a team

- Strong communication and time-management skills

- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

- Clean driving record
