2nd Shift Bakery Production Associate (M-F 3pm-11pm)

Type of Position: Hourly, 40 hours/week. Monday thru Friday, 3pm-11pm.

Salary: $15-16.50/hour DOE

Job Description:

As a 2nd Shift Bakery Production Assistant at Michele’s Granola, you are a key member of our Production Team. The primary role of each Production Team Member is to properly produce several different recipes of granola cereal in small batches from scratch. The Bakery Production Assistant will be expected to work with Production Managers and other team members to increase productivity while maintaining the consistent high-quality of this handmade product.

As part of our small-batch granola production line, you will have clearly defined tasks to complete during the daily production shift. The position involves standing for extended periods of time, repetitive motion, moving at a steady pace, and lifting up to 50lbs. You will have opening and closing cleaning duties including, but not limited to, sanitizing all work surfaces, sweeping, mopping and dish washing.

Specific Duties of the Bakery Production Assistant include:

1. Measuring and mixing raw materials according to recipe specifications

1. Weighing granola onto sheet pans according to recipe specifications

1. Spreading granola across sheet pans according to recipe specifications

1. Loading oven racks, adhering to all pan and rack Quality Assurance guidelines

1. Cleaning duties including, but not limited to, dish washing, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal

1. Performing other duties as assigned

Responsibilities of all Production Team Members include:

1. Arriving on time for the start of each production shift

1. Adhering to safe work practices, cleaning, uniform and hygiene standards

1. Following established production, food handling safety and sanitation practices

1. Ensuring consistency in food quality and upholding our high quality assurance standards

1. Ensuring the maintenance of a clean, sanitary production facility

1. Controlling allergens and contamination

1. Other duties as assigned, e.g. assisting the Packaging Team, facility maintenance, Sales Team support
