PRN Phlebotomist - Field Services Specialist (Part-Time)

Position Summary:

Collects and prepares blood specimens for laboratory testing. Represents the laboratory to patients and their families. Reviews orders and obtains clinical and demographic information. May print requisitions or complete requisitions and verifies patient identification and correct specimen type for tests requested.

• Schedule: This is a PRN (part-time) position. Hours will vary but will be 98% Monday - Friday. Please only apply if you have the flexibility for this type of schedule.
• Facilitate the collection, processing, and shipping of blood specimens.
• Follow policies to correctly identify the patient before any specimen is obtained
• Properly label and document the specimens and prepare for shipment
• Enter all required patient/test information into the Company LIS or complete the Company's manual requisition in order to process, result and bill the sample.
• Demonstrate customer service and compassion when interacting with patients, physicians, and clinic staff
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner

• Phlebotomy specimen collection experience required
• Graduation from a standard high school or General Education Degree (GED) equivalent minimum
• Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision
