Maintenance Technician- 12 Hour Nights

• Responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on facility/production equipment and property structures, in addition to performing grounds maintenance. All work will be done in compliance with EPA, OSHA, and other safety rules and regulations.

Essential Functions:

• Install and troubleshoot electrical motors, motor controls, up to 480V systems, compressors
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
• Read and understand electrical and other mechanical diagrams.
• Run conduit and troubleshoot network cable (CAT 5).
• Operate aerial lifts (scissor lift, boom lift).
• Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs as necessary.
• Log and track inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
• Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
• Diagnose production equipment problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
• Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.).
• Upon completion of work, enters appropriate information onto worksheet for submission and filing and/or enters into MRP system for filing and tracking.
• Inspect and repair equipment and facilities as needed (plumbing and HVAC skills a plus).

Job Related Functions:

• Coaches and trains production personnel as able on maintenance related topics.
• Assures the safety of facility employees through compliance with all state and federal OSHA and EPA laws and regulations.

Responsible for Kaizen and 5S of the plant in general.
