Job Title: Sales Specialist
Classification: Salaried, Exempt
Department: Sales and Marketing
Status: Full Time
Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

Job Summary

The Sales Specialist is responsible for planning, directing, and evaluating all sales-related processes. Responsibilities include developing and implementing effective sales strategies, generating/closing new business opportunities, and maintaining relationships with new and existing clients.

Essential Functions

  • Propose business opportunities by identifying prospects, evaluating their needs, and recommending services with a consultative approach.
  • Generate new sales leads and opportunities through existing client referrals, prospecting, networking, and sales outreach.
  • Assist in preparing proposals and contracts for potential clients.
  • Close new business opportunities by demonstrating an ability to understand prospective client needs, coordinating business requirements, developing, and negotiating contracts and aligning contract requirements with business operations.
  • Participate in Sales & Marketing events, tradeshows, and related seminars to develop new Client relationships and strengthen product offerings.
  • Maintain relationships with new and existing clients by providing support, and recommendations for new opportunities and services.
  • Develop and implement unique Sales campaigns to advance the company in the industry.
  • Create and prepare materials, including but not limited to, website content, company overviews, brochures, flyers, or presentations to support Sales Initiatives.
  • Manage all social media accounts for the company, as well as content, posts, etc.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in relevant target industry tradeshows, seminars, and educational events.
  • Enhance organizational reputation by accepting ownership for exploring diverse opportunities to add value to company service offerings.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of related experience with Client Relations/Consultative Sales/Business Development.
  • Customer service or contact center experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration/Sales and Marketing preferred.
  • Outstanding written and verbal English communication skills:
    • Gathers all the facts of the situation, the implications for the customer’s business and impact on the customer. Uncovers and develops customer’s feelings about the key facts.
    • Communicates understanding back to the customer in a way that deepens the customer’s awareness and understanding of their own business needs.
    • Ability to effectively communicate in writing with accuracy of content, spelling and grammar, and proper use of digital communications etiquette and procedures.
  • Advanced proficiency with standard office technologies, including Microsoft O365, web browsers, email, electronic calendar, instant messaging, information sourcing, etc. Ability to navigate computer software and websites as necessary without third party assistance.
  • Travel as required.
  • Availability to work outside of normal business hours as required within a 24/7 environment.
  • Conduct in accordance with the Mission, Objectives and Customer Directives of the company.
