Direct Hire as employee of Company
Monday – Friday (Daylight Hours)
Full-Time
Salary Range: $17.50 - $21.00 per hour

Responsible for maintaining the medical records and patient charts for Healthcare Office.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- 1 year of EMR Electronic Medical Records systems experience
- 6 months to 1 year of medical terminology
- Prior experience working in a doctor’s office or medical setting is strongly preferred
Responsibilities:
- Retrieve charts on request for staff and respond to internal telephone requests for information.
- Purge discharge charts according to procedure.
- Inquire and update the database for off-site storage.
- Focus on customer service and continually strive to perform the duties of their job in a manner that will result in optimal patient satisfaction.
- Prepare charts for external requests for PHI before review by the Compliance Department
- Retrieve copies of information as required for billing, audits, on-site surveys, and other legal matters.
- Process discharge charts according to procedure.
- Attend compliance training and adhere to the organization’s standards of conduct, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain the integrity/security of the Medical Records department and the patient charts.
- Responsible for electronic medical record retrieval/printing from the Home Care automated system to fulfill requests from 3rd party payers and other governing bodies.
- Identify, develop, and participate in process improvement opportunities within the home health agency that will enhance the quality of the services we provide.
- Alphabetize and file all patient documentation using approved chart order.
- Follow Medical Records department policies and procedures.
