Salary:

We are a growing general contractor located in New Castle County Delaware looking to hire an experienced Job Cost Accountant to help us keep growing. The Job Cost accountant will be responsible for all “accounting-related” functions for the projects that they are assigned. These include (but may not be limited to):

Responsibilities

The Job Cost Accountant position is the primary person responsible for compiling and tracking project schedule of values and costs, (general requirements, subcontractor costs, change orders, etc.) for 3+ projects simultaneously.

  • Collect monthly subcontractor billings/change orders and enter invoices into accounting software
  • Review subcontractor invoices and other general requirements for approval with Project Managers
  • Compile all necessary information to enter subcontractor change orders
  • Track subcontractor and supplier waivers
  • Generating monthly AIA G702/703 requisition billing for project owners by given deadlines
  • Generate job profit analysis reports
  • Assist with project close-out as needed
  • Ability to audit and cross check other projects’ documentation for compliance with company standards such as insurance requirements, contracts, change orders, etc.
  • Ad-hoc assignments for project teams as needed

Qualifications

  • BS Accounting or Business-Related Major
  • Knowledge of AIA G702/703 formatted requisition billing
  • 3+ years of work experience in construction accounting
  • Knowledge of construction related accounting software a plus
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Analytical skills with a keen sense of urgency
  • Proven time management skills and ability to work under strict deadlines
